Church Announcements (07th-08st Feb)

1.          Today is the 5th Sunday in Ordinary time. Feasts during the week are as follows:

·         Tuesday 10th February is the feast of St Scholastica, Virgin

·         Wednesday 11th February is the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. It is celebrated as the World day of the sick.

·         Saturday 14th February is the Feast of Saints Cyril and Methodius

2.          Our Lady of Lourdes community will have their feast mass on Wednesday 11th February at 7:45pm near the community grotto. All are invited.

3.          Wednesday 18th February is Ash Wednesday – A day of Fast and Abstinence. Mass timings are as follows: 6.30am in Don Bosco, 7.30am & 7pm at the Church site. Kindly note that there will be no prayer meeting on 18th Feb due to Ash Wednesday service, it will be held on Thursday 19th Feb at 7:30 pm.

4.          Parishioners are requested to return your old Palms either at Don Bosco or Church site. These dried Palms will be collected, burnt to ashes, and used during Ash Wednesday service. These old Palms can be returned by next Sunday, 15th February 2026.

5.          There will be Family Cell meeting tomorrow i.e Sunday 08th February after 9am mass at the Church site. This Family cell will have a special focus on initiatives like marriage preparation, parent workshops, community building activities, and many more. Parishioners are encouraged to join this association in large numbers.

6.          There will be a senior citizens get together on Monday 09th February 2026 at 11am at the Church site. There will be Holy Eucharist. Anyone who wishes to contribute in any manner – I,e choir, mass readings, playing any musical instrument, or sponsors are most welcome. Kindly note that contribution would be Rs.100 per person. For further details, kindly connect with your respective Community Leaders and Animators.

7.          World Marriage Day will be celebrated on Sunday 15th February, during the 9am Eucharist at Church site. The Family Ministry invites all married couples to rekindle and renew their vows, followed by a get-together at Church site. Registration charges Rs.50 per couple. Advance registration for the get together is mandatory. Those who wish to register kindly come to the Choir and sacristy section after this mass, or contact your community leader/Animators.
