38th Rally of the Differently Abled
Friends,
Every year, we go in search of a place and people who will host our Rally for the Divyang — our differently abled brothers and sisters. This year marks our 38th rally, and we are grateful to have found a warm and welcoming community in you!
Why do we come in search? It is to focus the attention of society on the lives and needs of the differently abled in various regions. Today, we have brought around 300 differently abled individuals from across the taluka to your premises.
We invite you to focus on them — visit them at any time during the day, meet them individually, understand their difficulties, and support those who are in genuine need — not just financially, but also emotionally.
Fr. Dominic, Fr. William, Fr. Joachim, and Fr. Anthony warmly welcomed all the priests. Sunday, 30th March 2025, is a special day that has been beautifully arranged. I had mentioned in the very first core committee meeting that Apang Seva would bring around 300 differently abled people to your parish grounds at around 9:00 AM — and you have graciously agreed to receive them, feed them, entertain them throughout the day, and send them home feeling more empowered and ready to face life with renewed strength.
I am confident that 30th March 2025 will be a memorable day — one they will cherish and look forward to again next year. The core team has worked efficiently under the leadership of Mr. Octavian.
Everyone in the parish is encouraged to be part of this rally in some way. You may simply drop by during the day and take the time to speak to one or two individuals, learn about their lives, and offer them emotional support. Some of you may even be inspired to make lasting friendships with them — as family friends.
This initiative is a meaningful challenge in these Synodal days and in the spirit of Jesus Jubilee 2025. The event will be held throughout the day on the campus of Don Bosco High School.
